Useful networking tools without deceptive claims
IP Address Translator is an educational DNS utility for students, technicians, website owners, and home users. It turns common networking tasks into simple forms while explaining what each result can and cannot prove.
What the site provides
- Forward DNS lookups for IPv4, IPv6, and canonical names.
- Reverse DNS lookups for published PTR records.
- Local IPv4 conversion between dotted decimal, integer, hexadecimal, and binary formats.
- Original guides covering IP addressing and troubleshooting.
What the site does not do
The site does not break into computers, scan ports, bypass passwords, trace a private person, or guarantee the physical location of an IP address. An IP address is a network identifier. It is not reliable proof of a person’s identity.
Ownership
The protected administrator role is designed for the primary site owner. Administrative credentials are stored as deployment secrets rather than exposed in the public website files.
Security principle: no website can honestly promise to be “hacker-proof.” This project instead reduces common risks through strict validation, minimal data collection, secure cookies, security headers, and server-side secret handling.
